Our New Year’s Reception will spotlight a once-in-a-generation trifecta coming to Philadelphia in 2026, when more than 500,000 visitors from around the world are expected to arrive for three landmark events: six FIFA World Cup matches, the Major League Baseball All-Star Game, and the 250th birthday of the United States of America. We are honored to welcome Michael Newmuis, 2026 Director for the City of Philadelphia as our keynote speaker.

Keynote Speaker
Michael Newmuis is leading the City of Philadelphia’s preparations for the United States’ 250th anniversary in 2026, serving as the city’s 2026 Director in the Mayor’s Office. A Philadelphia native and civic leader, he has built a career at the intersection of public service, community impact, and corporate responsibility. Prior to this role, he led impact initiatives at Future Standard (formerly known as FS Investments), served as Chief of Staff at Visit Philadelphia, and has long championed efforts that celebrate and strengthen the birthplace of American democracy.
