In-Person Event

Join us on Thursday, September 17 from 6:00-8:00pm at Brauhaus Schmitz for our annual Biergarten – our first in-person event since the start of the pandemic!

The event will take place outdoors on Brauhaus Schmitz’ rooftop deck with spectacular views of the city (in case of rain, we will host the event indoors). Enjoy authentic German sausages, pretzels and other treats as well as a variety of German beers. Owner Doug Hager will host a beer tasting for our group which includes six 5oz pours of some of the best beers Germany has to offer.

The event will follow all guidelines put forth by the CDC and the City of Philadelphia. Face coverings are required when not at your table. Please also visit Brauhaus Schmitz’ website for further guidelines and safety protocol.

After months of virtual events and working remotely, we can’t wait to see our members again in person!

Sponsorship opportunities available - please contact us to learn more!

Speaker

Doug Hager

As the owner of Philadelphia’s best authentic German restaurant and beer hall, Douglas Hager has transformed the way that Philadelphians look at German food and drink. Drawing on his own heritage (born in Aschaffenburg, Germany to native mother and his father, there on duty in the U.S. Army), Hager works closely with his wife, Kelly (nee Schmitz), and their Executive Chef, Valentin Bay, to modernize classic Teutonic fare for a contemporary audience as well as give Philadelphians a taste of some of the best brews Germany has to offer.
